With a focus in business litigation, general business and commercial law, and real estate, Heitman has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts in matters of common law contract disputes, U.C.C. Article 2 and Article 4 disputes, construction lien and trust deed foreclosures, as well as common law negligence actions. His clients have included commercial banks, nationwide retail chains, a landscape contracting firm and real estate investors and developers.

Before launching his private practice, Heitman was with the boutique Portland law firm of Larkins Vacura, LLP. Heitman’s prior experience as a small-business entrepreneur gives him unique insight from a business-founder and owner's perspective.

Perry is active in his community, involved with community-based non-profit organizations and currently serves as Vice-President of his neighborhood association.
